11 Last minute ideas for Halloween

‍Halloween is almost here, and some of you may have left your planning to the last minute.

Wearing a spooky costume is one of the most important parts of Halloween, along with delicious food, ghoulish games and fun events.

While you can buy ready-made costumes from the supermarket, people on a budget may want to make their own.

Here are some ideas for last-minute Halloween costumes

1. The Classic Ghost

All you need is a while sheet and scissors.

Use the scissors to cut out holes for the eyes and mouth and adjust the length accordingly.

2. The Vampire

White your face with flour, and put some red lipstick on your lips. Use red food colouring around your mouth for blood.

Team your look with black clothing.

3. Bride of Frankenstein

Do you have any old netting lying about? Use some scissors to cut some material for a veil, and glue this to an alice band.

4. Zombie

Use scissors to cut and rip an old dark t-shirt. Backcomb your hair and use black eye shadow to get the ultimate zombie look.

5. Roman Emperor

Wrap a white sheet over one shoulder and through your legs, and pair this with a pair of sandals. Wear light clothing underneath.

6. Scarecrow

Do you have a pair of denim shorts and a checked shirt? Wear this along with backcombed hair, and use eyeliner to draw yourself a triangle on the bridge of your nose and some stitches around your mouth.

7. Robot

All that's required are cardboard boxes, some tin foil and some food cartons.

Cut out a small rectangular section so you can see a little bit of the face. Cover the remainder of the box in tin foil and stick empty food cartons on the exterior to give the appearance of buttons and gadgets.

8. The Mummy

The Using a supply of bandages (or toilet roll if you'd rather), and wrap around your arms, legs and head to give the mummy effect. Dab some dark make up around your eyes and over your bandages/toilet roll to make the outfit look grubby. Wear light clothing underneath.

If you have long dark hair, this is a good choice.

Wear a white dress, black shoes and dab some dark make up around your eyes.

10. A burglar

All you need to be the perfect burglar or criminal is a pair of black trousers/jeans/leggings, a stripy top, black woolly hat, a pair of sunglasses and some black gloves.

11. A Cat Lady

All you need is a dressing gown and some stuffed cat toys. Sorted!
